Citing Exodus 20:5, generations of Jews had repeated a parable about sour grapes to blame their ancestors for the awful conditions they were living in.  They even blamed their ancestors for the sins they, themselves were committing.  “We can’t help ourselves!  It’s our parents’ fault we are sinning!”  Because that attitude is still prevalent today, God’s response through the prophet, Ezekiel is very relevant for us.
