Getting and Installing iTunes

If you don’t already have iTunes you can download an installer from here.  Once it’s downloaded, run the installer to install the iTunes application.

Subscribing to this Podcast

Subscribing to a podcast allows you to see a list of all episodes of a podcast in iTunes and will also get the latest episode automatically.  To subscribe to this podcast, you can click here to open your iTunes to the New Hope Christian Church podcast page. Once the New Hope Christian Church page appears, click on ‘Subscribe’ to subscribe to the podcast.  Subscribing is free.  After

you have subscribed, iTunes will automatically download the latest episode.  When a podcast episode is downloading, a little orange circular icon will spin next to it.  New podcasts which have not been listened to are indicated by a little blue blob next to them.

Viewing Podcast Slides/Artwork

In the lower left-hand corner of iTunes is a series of buttons.  The button that appears like a square with a triangle in the middle will toggle the

displaying of the slides/artwork during the podcast.  The podcasts are designed to follow the sermon outlines which are also provided.  As the different topics are discussed in the message, the artwork will change with them.

If you would like a large window of the artwork, just click on the artwork and a larger window will appear.

Using Chapters

As mentioned in the previous section, all the New Hope Christian Church Podcasts follow the sermon outline.  These points are incorporated into the podcasts in the from of chapters.  Once you start playing a podcast, a Chapters menu will appear in the title bar.  You may skip to a specific section of the podcast if you wish by selecting the appropriate chapter from the menu.
